HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – July 29, 2007 -- Sprint Nextel
(NYSE:S) today introduced two SprintSpeed Ambassadors to promote
The SprintSpeed™ Million
presented by Motorola sweepstakes, a promotion in which one fan
is guaranteed to win $1 million.
Anne-Marie Rhodes and Tabitha Phillippi will serve as spokeswomen for the
program at each NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race through the end of 2007. They
will interact with fans at the NEXTEL Experience, take part in Victory Lane
and pre-race ceremonies, participate in media interviews about the promotion
and be the official tour guides for the 12 sweepstakes finalists during the
Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup.
“The SprintSpeed Ambassadors are a key addition to the SprintSpeed
Million marketing plan,” said Dean Kessel, director of NASCAR NEXTEL
Cup Series marketing for Sprint. “The Ambassadors will be highly visible
at the racetrack each weekend with yellow-and-black branded uniforms. More
importantly, they will be well-versed in all things SprintSpeed Million and
help educate fans about the program.”
Rhodes is a resident of Sanford, N.C. She has more than a decade of experience
as a spokesmodel and has worked events for clients in NASCAR, NHRA, PGA TOUR
and the Professional Bull Riding Association. Her client list includes RJ
Reynolds, Skyy Vodka, Icehouse and many others. Rhodes’ first appearance
will be at Indianapolis Motor Speedway July 29.
Phillippi is a resident of Charlotte, N.C. She has extensive experience
as a model and actress and has worked with such major companies as Bank of
America, Ferrari, General Motors, Mazda, Lowe’s and Dunkin’ Donuts.
Phillippi’s first race as a SprintSpeed Ambassador will be at Pocono
(Pa.) Raceway Aug. 5.
Race fans enter The SprintSpeed Million by selecting the driver they think

accepted from July 15 – Sept. 3 at Sprint retail stores, on www.sprint.com/speed,
by texting “million” to 7777 from any Sprint or Nextel phone
